Ben Savage and Tessa Angermeier Announce First Child Due in November 2025: A New Chapter for the ‘Boy Meets World’ Star

In a heartwarming update that has delighted fans worldwide, Ben Savage, best known for his iconic role as Cory Matthews on the beloved sitcom Boy Meets World, and his wife Tessa Angermeier are expecting their first child. The couple shared the joyful news on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, via Instagram, revealing that their baby is due to arrive in November 2025. As of 01:15 PM WAT on Thursday, May 22, 2025, the announcement continues to generate buzz across social media, with fans celebrating this milestone for the actor who has long been a fixture in their hearts.

Savage, 44, and Angermeier, a senior graphic designer at luxury furniture store Ben Soleimani, posted a series of touching photos on Instagram to mark the occasion. The images captured the couple embracing, proudly holding a sonogram of their soon-to-be-born child. “Arriving this fall,” Savage captioned the post, a simple yet poignant message that sparked an outpouring of congratulations from followers and fellow celebrities alike. The announcement comes just over two years after the couple tied the knot in a lavish ceremony at the Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, California, in February 2023.

The journey to parenthood marks a significant new chapter for Savage, whose on-screen persona as the earnest and lovable Cory Matthews resonated with audiences throughout the 1990s and beyond. Boy Meets World, which aired on ABC from 1993 to 2000, followed Cory’s coming-of-age story alongside his friends and love interest Topanga Lawrence, played by Danielle Fishel. Savage later reprised his role in the Disney Channel spin-off Girl Meets World (2014–2017), where Cory and Topanga, now married, navigated parenthood as their daughter Riley took center stage. For many fans, Savage’s real-life transition into fatherhood feels like a full-circle moment, echoing the family-oriented themes of the shows that made him a household name.

Tessa Angermeier, an Indiana University graduate with a degree in arts management, has been a steadfast presence in Savage’s life since the couple began dating in 2018. Their relationship first became Instagram-official in August of that year, and they announced their engagement in January 2023, shortly before their wedding. Angermeier has supported Savage through various endeavors, including his 2022 run for West Hollywood City Council, where she was seen sporting a “Savage for West Hollywood” T-shirt alongside friends and campaign supporters. Her career as a graphic designer has also seen her thrive, with her work at Ben Soleimani earning recognition in the design community.

However, Savage’s journey hasn’t been without its complexities. In recent years, he has faced questions about his relationship with his former Boy Meets World co-stars, including Danielle Fishel, Rider Strong, and Will Friedle. The trio, who host the Pod Meets World podcast, revealed in episodes around 2019 that Savage had distanced himself from them, a topic that resurfaced in replies to ABC News’ X post about the pregnancy announcement.
