Donald Trump Rages Against Taylor Swift and Liberal Voices Calling for Epstein File Release in Wake of Charlie Kirk’s Killing, Slams Them as “Mentally Sick Opportunists

Donald Trump Slams Taylor Swift and Others Calling for Epstein File Release After Charlie Kirk’s Assassination: “These Are Sick People”
President Donald Trump has unleashed a fiery response to mounting calls from celebrities and activists—most notably pop star Taylor Swift—demanding the release of the Epstein files in the wake of conservative activist Charlie Kirk’s assassination. Trump, who was a close ally and longtime supporter of Kirk, blasted the movement as a “sick, twisted exploitation” of a tragedy.

Swift and several others have claimed that Kirk, who was gunned down by Tyler Robinson in Utah, had been pushing for the release of the Epstein files during his lifetime and that honoring him means bringing the documents into the public. Social media erupted as Swift doubled down, saying the government owes the American people transparency, especially after Kirk’s “fight was cut short.”
Trump, however, wasn’t having it. Speaking to reporters, he tore into Swift and others, declaring:
“These are sick people. Absolutely sick. They’re using Charlie’s death, a terrible tragedy, to push their own agenda. It’s disgraceful, disgusting, and it has nothing to do with what Charlie stood for. He was a patriot, he loved America, and the idea that he was fighting for something like this—it’s a total lie.”
The former president emphasized that Kirk’s legacy should not be “dragged into conspiracies” and accused critics of trying to weaponize his murder against him politically.
“Taylor Swift, and whoever else is out there pushing this nonsense, they should be ashamed of themselves. Charlie was my friend. He wasn’t fighting for Epstein files; he was fighting for America, for freedom, for conservative values. For them to take this moment, his death, and spin it like this—it shows how sick they really are.”
Trump’s fiery comments have already sent shockwaves across the political landscape, with his supporters echoing his outrage and labeling Swift’s remarks as opportunistic. Critics, meanwhile, argue that Trump’s resistance only fuels suspicions about what the Epstein files might contain.
Regardless, the clash between Trump and Swift adds another explosive layer to the already tense aftermath of Kirk’s assassination, turning a tragic event into a political firestorm that shows no signs of cooling down.
