Meghan Markle and Prince Harry warned to carefully mind their business amid Kate Middleton health speculation
The couple are contemplating a visit to the UK.
As Meghan Markle and Prince Harry contemplate a return to the UK following Prince Charles’ cancer diagnosis, they face cautionary advice regarding public statements about Princess Kate’s health. With rumors swirling on social media about Kate’s absence since January due to abdominal surgery, PR expert Ryan McCormick has warned against the Sussexes making any premature comments to avoid fueling speculation.
“Harry and Meghan would be best suited to not make any public comments about Kate,” he told The Mirror.
Anything they said would be over analysed and if they were to wish Kate speedy recovery, speculation would run rampant about what is happening behind the scenes.
“The Duchess & Duke can slowly begin to possibly regain trust from the royal family by doing exactly as they are instructed to do.”
Despite Kensington Palace’s assurance that Kate will resume duties post-Easter, the vacuum of information has fueled bizarre conspiracy theories. “Kensington Palace made it clear in January the timelines of the princess’ recovery and we’d only be providing significant updates,” a Royal spokesperson said.
“That guidance stands. The Princess of Wales continues to be doing well.” Back in January, the previous Palace statement stressed that Middleton should not be expected to return to her duties before Easter. “The Princess of Wales appreciates the interest this statement will generate,” another statement noted.
“She hopes that the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible; and her wish that her personal medical information remains private.
