Trump Says U.S. Considering Nuclear Option Against Iran as Conflict Intensifies

U.S. President Donald Trump has confirmed that the United States is considering the possibility of using nuclear weapons against Iran, warning that the option remains “highly possible” if the conflict continues to escalate.

Speaking during a briefing at the White House, Trump said his administration is evaluating “all options” in response to what he described as growing threats and aggression from Tehran. The president stated that while no final decision has been made, the United States would not rule out any measure necessary to protect its interests and allies.

“We hope it never comes to that, but we have to keep every option on the table,” Trump said. “If Iran continues down this path, the consequences could be very serious.”

The remarks come amid intensifying tensions between the United States and Iran following a series of military confrontations in the region, including strikes and counter-strikes that have raised fears of a wider war in the Middle East. Analysts warn that talk of nuclear weapons dramatically raises the stakes and could trigger panic across the international community.

Several global leaders have already urged restraint, warning that the use of nuclear weapons would have catastrophic humanitarian and environmental consequences. Experts say even the discussion of such weapons could further destabilize an already volatile situation.

International organizations, including the United Nations, have repeatedly called for de-escalation and diplomatic solutions. Many countries are now pressing Washington and Tehran to return to negotiations before the conflict spirals into a broader regional or global crisis.

Security analysts say that if the situation continues to deteriorate, it could lead to one of the most dangerous confrontations in modern history. The possibility of nuclear weapons being involved has sparked renewed debate about global security and the risks of escalating warfare between major powers.

Meanwhile, officials in Tehran have condemned the remarks, warning that any attack on Iran would provoke a severe response. The escalating rhetoric from both sides has left the world watching closely as tensions continue to rise.

As diplomatic efforts intensify behind the scenes, the international community hopes that cooler heads will prevail before the conflict reaches a point of no return.
