Donald Trump Complains Obama and Taylor Swift Congratulated Others But Ignored His Middle East Peace Deal

President Donald Trump expressed frustration on Friday, accusing former President Barack Obama, pop star Taylor Swift, and other prominent figures of ignoring his recent diplomatic success while celebrating others.

Trump claimed that in the last 24 hours, Obama and Swift congratulated the Las Vegas women’s basketball team on their championship win and Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado for receiving the Nobel Peace Prize, yet none of them, nor any of the other living U.S. presidents, acknowledged his “historic peace deal” in the Middle East.

“In just 24 hours, Obama and Taylor Swift congratulated the Las Vegas women’s basketball team and Maria Corina Machado for her Nobel Peace Prize,” Trump wrote on his social media platform. “But not one word of congratulations for President Trump for bringing peace to the Middle East. Not from Obama, not from Bush, not from Clinton — not even from Carter. Nothing!”

Trump went on to call the lack of recognition “disrespectful,” claiming that his administration’s foreign policy achievements have been “deliberately ignored by the media and the political establishment.”

The comments came as social media buzzed over Swift’s post congratulating the Las Vegas team for their championship and praising Machado for her courage in fighting for democracy in Venezuela. Trump’s complaint quickly drew attention online, with his supporters echoing his sentiment that the former president rarely receives credit for his diplomatic efforts.

During Trump’s presidency, his administration brokered a series of normalization agreements between Israel and several Arab nations — including the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan, and Morocco — known collectively as the Abraham Accords. Supporters have described the accords as a major step toward regional stability, while critics say they failed to address the core issues surrounding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
