Donald Trump Sends Chilling Response to ACECO Demolition Company Over Unpaid White House Project Fees
Former U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a chilling response to ACECO Engineering & Construction, the firm responsible for demolishing the historic East Wing of the White House, after the company publicly accused him of failing to settle outstanding payments for their services.

The dispute began earlier this week when ACECO released a statement demanding full payment for the demolition project, which was reportedly commissioned as part of Trump’s controversial “White House Ballroom Expansion” plan. According to sources familiar with the matter, the unpaid balance is said to run into tens of millions of dollars.
In a fiery post shared on his Truth Social account, Trump dismissed the company’s claims as “fake news” and accused ACECO of “inflating costs and failing to meet deadlines.” He wrote, “They should be thanking me for the opportunity. The project was a disaster from their end, and I won’t be bullied into paying for incompetence.”
ACECO, however, insists that all work was completed according to federal guidelines and contractual agreements. A spokesperson for the company fired back, saying, “Mr. Trump’s refusal to honor this contract is not only unethical but a breach of federal procurement laws. We are preparing legal action to recover what is rightfully owed.”
Legal experts say the case could escalate quickly, potentially leading to one of the largest contractor lawsuits ever filed against a former president. If ACECO proceeds, Trump could face a multi-million-dollar lawsuit amid other mounting legal challenges.
The demolition of the East Wing — a historic section of the White House that housed several administrative offices — had already drawn sharp criticism from preservationists and political opponents who labeled the move “reckless and unprecedented.”
As tensions rise between Trump and ACECO, questions linger over the legality of the project itself and whether proper authorization was ever secured for the demolition.
For now, ACECO’s legal team is reportedly preparing to file a federal lawsuit seeking full payment plus damages, while Trump remains defiant, vowing to “fight every inch of the way.”
If proven true, this could add yet another high-profile financial controversy to Trump’s long list of ongoing legal battles.
