Donald Trump Slams Taylor Swift’s Plan to Pour Millions Into WHO Aid Effort for Israel, Iran, Gaza, Palestine, and Ukraine, Calling It a ‘Dangerous Political Stunt’
June 21, 2025 | Washington, D.C. — Former President Donald Trump has publicly condemned pop megastar Taylor Swift after she announced a multi-million dollar humanitarian partnership with the World Health Organization (WHO) to provide aid to civilians affected by ongoing conflicts in Israel, Iran, Gaza, Palestine, and Ukraine.

In a fiery Truth Social post on Friday morning, Trump blasted Swift’s efforts, branding the initiative as a “dangerous political stunt designed to virtue-signal to the radical left” and accused the singer of “using charity as a mask for globalist influence.”
“Taylor Swift is playing a very dangerous game with very dangerous people,” Trump wrote. “Dumping millions into the WHO — one of the most corrupt, China-loving organizations in the world — to meddle in highly volatile regions like Iran and Gaza is reckless, irresponsible, and frankly, none of her business!”
Swift’s humanitarian announcement earlier this week drew praise from global relief leaders and fans alike. The Grammy winner revealed that through her SwiftAid Foundation, she would donate upwards of $75 million in partnership with WHO and Direct Relief to supply emergency medical kits, food, clean water, and trauma support to vulnerable populations, particularly women and children, in war-ravaged zones.
Trump, however, argues the initiative is a veiled political move.
“She thinks she’s running the U.N. now,” Trump continued in his post. “This is what happens when celebrities think they’re diplomats. It’s a disgrace. And the money? You watch — it won’t help the people. It’ll line the pockets of bureaucrats and enemies of America.”
The former president also questioned Swift’s intentions in including both Ukraine and Iran in the aid package, accusing her of “playing both sides of the geopolitical chessboard.”
“You don’t get to fund both sides of a fight and call yourself a humanitarian. Pick a side. That’s leadership.”
Swift has not directly responded to Trump’s remarks, but her spokesperson issued a statement saying the initiative is “strictly humanitarian and non-partisan,” emphasizing that the focus is on saving lives, not taking sides.
The statement added:
“This is about helping innocent people trapped in war zones. Ms. Swift refuses to be intimidated by political rhetoric that prioritizes division over compassion.”
Trump’s criticism has sparked a new political firestorm on social media, with conservative commentators backing his claims, while liberal voices — including several Democratic lawmakers — praised Swift’s courage and commitment to humanitarian causes.
Political analysts say the clash marks yet another chapter in the ongoing culture war between celebrity activism and Trump-era conservatism. Some speculate the former president’s sharp rebuke may be an early move to reignite his base ahead of the 2026 midterms.
Meanwhile, humanitarian groups welcomed Swift’s pledge, with WHO officials calling it “a historic act of global solidarity by a private citizen.”
As of now, SwiftAid shipments are already en route to WHO hubs in Europe and the Middle East, with field operations expected to begin in July.
