In a significant shake-up for its daytime programming, ABC has officially announced that it will not be renewing the contracts of long-time co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar on the popular talk show “The View.” This decision comes amid rising concerns surrounding a reported toxic workplace environment within the show’s production team.
Sources close to the network revealed that internal reviews had been conducted since early 2024, prompted by mounting complaints from staff and crew regarding behavior described as “hostile” and “unprofessional.” Following these evaluations, ABC executives concluded that a refreshed cast was necessary to foster a more positive atmosphere on set.
