Jason Kelce offered Substantial Salary as a Top Target for Broadcasting Networks
Jason Kelce is poised to become a sought-after figure in the TV industry if he decides to step away from football, as networks consider him a ‘top target’ for potential broadcasting roles.
According to reports, various broadcasters are currently in a ‘scramble’ to secure his services, with potential earnings estimated at around $5 million per year. Kelce, along with his brother, Chiefs star Travis, co-hosts the widely popular ‘New Heights’ podcast. Moreover, Jason made appearances on Amazon Prime’s Thursday Night Football during his bye week this season. A source commented on Kelce’s potential in broadcasting, stating, ‘When you see him talking in his podcast, you see someone very good at talking in a microphone and being very straightforward about his opinions. He has millions of great stories to tell as he has played with many, many players and worked with tons of staff in his long career.
The source also emphasized that Kelce is ‘respected by pretty much everyone. If Kelce transitions to broadcasting, he follows in the footsteps of recently retired Tom Brady, who will begin his role as an NFL analyst with Fox Sports this fall under a reported 10-year, $375 million contract. Other former players who have successfully entered broadcasting include Tony Romo, Greg Olsen, Nate Burleson, and Michael Strahan. Kelce’s potential move into broadcasting aligns with Bill Belichick’s departure from the Patriots after 24 seasons, potentially marking a significant influx of notable personalities into the industry.
