Kate Middleton breaks conspiracy theories with her first outing after surgery
The Princess was spotted in public for first time since December, smiling alongside mom.
After keeping a low profile since December following her planned abdominal surgery earlier this year, Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, was seen out and about in public on Monday, accompanied by her mother, Carole Middleton.
Middleton, 42, was photographed sitting in the passenger seat of an Audi driven by her mom near Windsor Castle. Despite attempting to maintain a low profile with sunglasses, Middleton flashed a slight smile, looking relaxed and happy. This appearance marks the first time the Princess of Wales has been seen in public since her surgery.
Kensington Palace had previously announced that Middleton would be staying out of the public eye until after Easter, with updates provided only when significant changes occurred. The rare sighting comes amid wild conspiracy theories about Middleton’s whereabouts, which have been circulating online.
The Princess of Wales’ husband, Prince William, 41, had recently pulled out of attending a memorial service for his godfather, Greece’s late King Constantine II, citing a “personal matter,” further fueling speculation about Middleton’s health and whereabouts. Kate underwent surgery at The London Clinic in January and spent a total of 13 days there before returning to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor to continue her recovery. Upon her release, Kensington Palace issued a statement expressing gratitude to the medical staff and confirming Middleton’s progress.
