Meghan Markle's return to UK could damage her image, PR specialist warns

PR expert Lynn Carratt has warned Meghan Markle against returning to the UK, stating that it would not be a “good idea” due to the public’s disapproval and her plummeting popularity. Carratt emphasized that Meghan’s time in the UK prior to Megxit was challenging and that her comfort level was much higher in America. She pointed out that Meghan’s popularity in the UK has reached an “all-time low,” with 68 percent of the public holding a negative view of her, according to a YouGov survey.

Carratt also highlighted the public’s disdain for “hypocrisy,” citing instances where Meghan appeared to flaunt her privileged life while attempting to relate to those less fortunate and using private jets while advocating for climate change. She suggested that toning down these behaviors could potentially help improve Meghan’s public perception.

In response to the possibility of Meghan returning to the UK for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games in London, Carratt expressed skepticism, stating, “I don’t think it’s a good idea for Meghan Markle to move back to the UK, and I don’t think she’d personally be happy.” This statement reflects her belief that the negative public sentiment and Meghan’s own discomfort in the UK would make her return unfavorable.
