Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding was a complete disaster, royal photographer spills the beans

eing a photojournalist has never been easy, but covering the comings and goings of the British Royal Family can be a monumental task. Veteran photographer Arthur Edwards recently shared the disappointments he experienced during Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding six years ago.

In a conversation with the English newspaper “The Sun,” Edwards lamented Prince Harry’s treatment of photojournalists at the time. “The day was a miserable day. I can tell you now – it was the worst royal engagement I ever did. A royal wedding I ever did,” Edwards said.

The photographer explained he had a bad time because “Harry was determined to keep the newspapers away from it as much as possible.” He explained that most of his work had to be done with long-range lenses, while the photographers engaged by the couple were in the front row.

“Everything was done on long lenses. I had an 800-millimeter lens photographing the guests arriving. The photographers they engaged for the job were 5 feet away. It was just hopeless,” Edwards complained.
