Prince Harry Confirmed Permanent Return to the UK in 2024.
Prince William is key to a potential permanent return to the UK for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, according to a former Royal Family butler.
The Prince of Wales is not currently on speaking terms with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. However, Prince Harry has confirmed he has many planned visits to the UK in 2024. Grant Harrold, a former Royal Family butler, claimed that fixing the rift with Prince William would be crucial before any return to the Royal Family fold would be possible for Meghan and Harry.
Harrold told the New York Post: “It’s difficult to say given everything that has gone on and the trust that has been broken down whether they could return as full-time royals, but I’ve always said if Harry did return to the UK, it is possible.”
He continued: “[Harry] could have a discussion with his brother about resuming his royal duties, but obviously there is so much that has happened over the last couple of years and that needs to be sorted out before the Sussexes made a permanent return. “I don’t think it would be impossible — when I was working for the Royal Family, I saw how close William and Harry were, I don’t think that’s a relationship that is too far gone to be healed or fixed.”
Harry’s relationship with senior members of the monarchy has become strained since he stepped down as a working royal in 2020.
Last month, Prince Harry said during a TV interview with Good Morning America at the start of February that he has several visits to the UK planned for 2024.
He flew to London last month to see King Charles after it was confirmed that the monarch has a form of cancer. Harry did not see Prince William during his recent return to the UK. It comes as a source claimed that Princess Eugenie will support Prince Harry as his feud with the Royal Family continues.
