Rory Feek gives update after adult daughters accused him of exposing their kid sister to ‘abusive’ cult
Rory Feek continues to speak out amid his family’s dispute over the care of his youngest daughter, Indiana.
The singer-songwriter, 59, shared a blog post, titled ‘canceled’, just three weeks after his eldest daughters took legal action against him – claiming their father has cut them off from contacting their 10-year-old sister and put her in harm’s way.
Feek, who in July married his daughter’s school teacher, has been raising his youngest daughter in an agrarian Christian community tied to Homestead Heritage – which has come under fire after at least one of its members admitted to child sex abuse.
In the post, Feek shares that he drove nearly two hours to Florence, Alabama, to reconcile with his estranged daughters, Heidi, 37 and Hopie, 35 – after the pair accused him of exposing their kid sister to what they have called an ‘abusive’ cult – but the trip did not go according to plan.
Feek claims he arrived at Heidi’s doorstep with a ‘peace offering’ of lily flowers in hand hoping his daughters ‘might be able to sit down and talk, or better yet, I’d just sit and listen to whatever they wanted to say and maybe have the chance to give them a hug,’ the post reads.
