Taylor Swift fans have been left outraged after a woman was seen in social media video using Shazam during one of the pop star’s Sydney concerts.

Swifties left outraged by image on woman's phone at Taylor Swift's Sydney concert: 'How did she get a ticket?'

TikTok user nessatlx shared a clip of the concertgoer holding her phone in the air and using the music discovery app to find the title of a song as the singer performed Champagne Problems. Several fans expressed their anger on social media and claimed the woman shouldn’t have attended the concert if she didn’t know the pop star’s songs. This is why we couldn’t get tickets because Karen knew Shake it Off and ‘that Shakespeare one’,’ one disappointed fan wrote. And meanwhile I cry myself to sleep every night because I am missing the most iconic historical event that will ever exist in my life time,  another raged. I lost a ticket to THAT?  another fan commented. One person said, I swear there should be a mini quiz before u buy a ticket to solve.

However, other fans defended the woman and suggested she may have attended the concert with her daughter and wasn’t familiar with all the songs. This is actually so sweet . I’m sure she came with her daughter or someone and realized just how beautiful Taylor’s lyricism is, one person commented. Imagine being her. Imagine her experience of falling in love with this masterpiece live for the first time. What a truly blessed experience she has,  another said. I went to 1989 with my mom, who probably only knew the words to Shake It Off and Love Story. I’m still glad I took her when I was 15. You don’t need to know the lyrics to every song to get a ticket,  a third agreed. Swift wrapped up the Australian leg of her Eras tour on Monday after playing to more than 600,000 fans across Melbourne and Sydney.

A record-breaking 96,000 fans attended each of her three nights in Melbourne, while Sydney attracted a further 83,000 Swifties at each of her four shows. The pop sensation reportedly earned $25million per Sydney show. Swift also injected a whopping $145m into the NSW economy, as thousands of local and interstate fans flocked to the city for the must-see event of the year. The pop star will now head to Singapore for three concerts on March 2, 3 and 4.
