Taylor Swift Denounces Donald Trump’s Boast of a “Historic Dawn” for the Middle East between Gaza and Israel, Saying the So-Called Peace Between Israel and Hamas Was Achieved “Through Genocide” and Should Never Earn Him a Nobel Peace Prize

Taylor Swift Condemns Trump’s Nobel Peace Prize Hype, Calls His “Peace” Between Israel and Hamas a “Genocide Disguised as Diplomacy”
Pop icon Taylor Swift has sharply condemned former President Donald Trump’s recent claim of achieving “peace in the Middle East” through the Gaza ceasefire deal, saying that any peace “built on the bones of the Palestinians” should never be celebrated—let alone considered for the Nobel Peace Prize.

In a statement posted on social media, Swift accused Trump of “glorifying destruction and human suffering” while trying to rebrand a humanitarian catastrophe as an act of statesmanship. “Peace through genocide is no peace at all,” she wrote. “You can’t bomb a people into submission and then stand on their graves declaring a historic dawn.”
Trump had earlier declared that his administration’s diplomatic efforts had brought “a new era of stability and peace to the Middle East,” following the ceasefire agreement signed between Israel and Hamas. He described it as “a historic dawn” and hinted that his efforts deserved global recognition, sparking speculation among supporters that he might be nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize.
But Swift, who has become increasingly vocal about global and political issues in recent years, rejected that idea outright. “If the world rewards the destruction of Gaza with a peace prize, then we’ve lost the meaning of peace itself,” she said.
Political analysts have also expressed skepticism about the long-term impact of the deal, warning that without a pathway to a Palestinian state, the agreement merely freezes hostilities rather than resolves them. Swift’s comments echoed that criticism, emphasizing that “true peace can’t exist without justice, equality, and freedom.”
Social media quickly lit up with reactions, with Swift’s statement trending under the hashtag #PeaceThroughGenocide. Many praised her for speaking out, while Trump supporters accused her of being “uninformed” and “politicizing tragedy.”
Despite the backlash, Swift stood by her remarks, concluding: “History will not remember how quickly a ceasefire was signed, but how many lives were lost before it. If you build your peace on ashes, it will crumble just the same.”
