Taylor Swift Finds Buyer For Her House
The Pennsylvania property the pop star lived in before her family moved to Nashville was on the market for close to $1 million
A five-bedroom Georgian Colonial home that once belonged to Taylor Swift’s family went into contract Friday, according to listing records.
Most recently asking $999,900, the Reading, Pennsylvania, property initially listed for $1.099 million in February, and underwent the $100,000 price cut in mid-March. Located on a 0.75 acre lot, the 3,560-square-foot home was built in 1929 and features a backyard swimming pool and two-car garage, according to the listing.
Listing photos of the interior show a formal dining room, spacious entry foyer, fireplaces in both the living room and the den, and a large open kitchen that opens onto a breakfast area with double doors leading out into the home’s backyard.
“The property is a unique combination of old world charm with modern updates and amenities,” Eric P. Miller of The Eric Miller Team at Re/Max of Reading, who represented the sellers, told Mansion Global. “This home is true to the Georgian Colonial style of having exquisite architecture in the rear of the property.”
In addition to the heated swimming pool and hot tub, which are surrounded by a stone paver patio, according to the listing, the home’s backyard includes a fenced garden, as well as a covered terrace at the back of the house. Information on the identity of the home’s buyer and seller was not available. According to public records, the home last sold in 2013 for $799,500.
One of the biggest pop stars in the world, Ms. Swift had an estimated net worth of $550 million in 2021, according to Forbes, and currently owns an array of luxury properties worth an estimated $80 million, the New York Post reported. Her holdings include a $17.75 million historic Rhode Island mansion; $47.7 million worth of units in a building in New York City’s Tribeca neighborhood; and a $2.5 million Nashville estate.
