Taylor Swift Performs Tortured Poets Department Title Track Live for First Time as Eras Tour Hits Portugal
The pop star wrapped up her two-night stint at the Estádio da Luz in Lisbon on Saturday, May 25
Taylor Swift is dazzling the crowd in Portugal with some new — and old — surprise songs!
The “So High School” singer, 34, performed her second Eras Tour show at Estádio da Luz in Lisbon, Portugal, on Saturday, May 25. Swifties present at the show (and online) waited with bated breath to see which tracks the pop star would perform as her traditional “surprise” songs — and she definitely delivered.
In a video shared on social media by a Swift fan account, the singer can be seen performing an acoustic guitar mashup of “The Tortured Poets Department,” the title track of her record-breaking new album, for the first time, along with “Now That We Don’t Talk” from the 1989 (Taylor’s Version) vault.
Later in the show, Swift introduced yet another surprise mashup, this time sitting down at her piano — which was decorated with painted flowers — to sing “You’re on Your Own Kid,” a fan-favorite track off Midnights, and “Long Live,” one of her early tracks from the 2010 record Speak Now.
Meanwhile, Swift’s Super Bowl-winning boyfriend, Travis Kelce, remained back in the U.S. — although he has been popping over to Europe, including Italy, to spend some time with her during this leg of the Eras Tour. While Swift performed in Portugal on Saturday night, Kelce, 34, attended a Dallas Stars hockey game against the Edmonton Oilers. The Texas team captured the NFL star chatting with friends in a private box.
Swift’s Portugal shows come days after her record-breaking tour stopped in Stockholm, Sweden, where the “I Can Do It with a Broken Heart” singer had a very sparkly wardrobe malfunction during her third show in the city on May 19.
