Taylor Swift snubs Meghan Markle’s invitation to star on her podcast
Markle contacted Swift directly.
Pop star Taylor Swift has reportedly turned down Meghan Markle’s invitation to appear on her podcast, Archetypes. Markle reportedly reached out to Swift in hopes of having her on the show, but Swift declined the invitation. A source told the PageSix that Swift “was flattered” by the offer, but she “didn’t feel comfortable doing it.” “She is a very private person and she doesn’t like to do a lot of interviews,” the source added.
However, that is not the only reason for the rejection as her opinion of Markle influenced the decision. “Taylor thinks Meghan is a bit of a diva,” the source said. She’s not really interested in spending time with her.” This is not the first time that Swift has declined an invitation to appear on a podcast as, in 2020, she turned down an invitation to appear on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, citing her dislike of the show’s host, Alexandra Cooper.
Swift’s decision to decline Markle’s invitation has sparked some controversy online. Some people have criticized Swift for being “rude” and “unprofessional,” while others have defended her right to choose who she does and does not want to spend time with. Ultimately, Swift’s decision is her own and she is under no obligation to appear on any podcast that she does not want to appear on.
It is worth noting that Markle has not yet commented on Swift’s decision, and it is possible that she will address the situation in an upcoming episode of Archetypes.
