Conservative commentator Candace Owens has called for an FBI investigation into Taylor Swift and her devoted fan base, known as Swifties, over their alleged involvement in the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump.
In a fiery tweetstorm, Owens accused Swift and her fans of harboring “toxic ties” that led to the alleged assassination attempt. “It’s time to investigate the sickening connections between Taylor Swift, her Swifties, and the attempted murder of President Trump,” Owens wrote.
Owens provided no evidence to support her claims, but that didn’t stop her from pointing fingers. “We all know about the toxic Swifties who will stop at nothing to defend their queen,” she continued. “But this time, they’ve gone too far.”
