Travis Kelce Faces Backlash for Launching a ‘Taylor Swift Inspired’ Men’s Jewelry Line With Her Lyrics Engraved, With Critics Slamming It as Cashing In on Her Brand

Travis Kelce, the celebrated Kansas City Chiefs tight end, has recently introduced a men’s jewelry line inspired by his partner, pop icon Taylor Swift. The collection features pieces engraved with lyrics from Swift’s songs, aiming to blend the worlds of music and fashion.

While some fans appreciate the homage, others have criticized the venture, accusing Kelce of exploiting Swift’s brand for personal gain. Critics argue that the jewelry line capitalizes on Swift’s artistic work and massive fanbase, raising questions about the boundaries of personal and professional collaborations.

This isn’t the first time the couple’s relationship has influenced fashion and accessories. In February 2024, Taylor Swift was seen wearing a diamond bracelet designed by Wove, a company founded by former U.S. Army Rangers. The bracelet, featuring the letters “TNT,” was reportedly a gift from Kelce. Following Swift’s public appearance with the bracelet, Wove experienced a significant surge in sales, highlighting the so-called “Swift effect” on consumer behavior. 

Additionally, the Kansas City Chiefs embraced Swift-inspired fashion by exchanging friendship bracelets in the locker room, a nod to a tradition from Swift’s Eras Tour. A TikTok video posted in September 2024 showcased players swapping bracelets, with Kelce receiving one labeled “Killa Trav,” indicating his familiarity with the trend.
