Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes Set to Sizzle with 1587 Prime Steakhouse Opening in Kansas City This Summer

Kansas City, MO – April 15, 2025 – Kansas City Chiefs superstars Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes are trading their playbooks for menus as they gear up to open their highly anticipated modern steakhouse, 1587 Prime, in Summer 2025. The announcement, shared via social media by the account @87KillaT on X, has sparked excitement among fans of both football and fine dining, with the restaurant set to debut just in time for the 2025 NFL season. Located inside the luxurious Loews Kansas City Hotel in the city’s vibrant Crossroads district, 1587 Prime promises to bring a winning combination of upscale cuisine and subtle nods to the athletes’ illustrious careers.

A New Play for Kelce and Mahomes

The dynamic duo of Kelce, the Chiefs’ superstar tight end, and Mahomes, the franchise quarterback and two-time Super Bowl MVP, have long been a force on the field. Together, their jersey numbers—15 for Mahomes and 87 for Kelce—inspired the name 1587 Prime, a clever nod to their shared legacy with the Chiefs. This venture marks their latest off-field collaboration, following a string of successful business endeavors for both athletes. Kelce, whose net worth is estimated at $50 million in 2025, has previously ventured into refrigerated entrees at Walmart, while Mahomes has brought Whataburger to Kansas City, showcasing their entrepreneurial flair beyond football.

The pair has partnered with Noble 33, a Las Vegas-based hospitality group known for its upscale dining concepts in cities like Los Angeles, New York, and Toronto. Noble 33 co-founder Tosh Berman highlighted the collaboration, noting that Kelce and Mahomes’ loyalty as frequent visitors to their restaurants in other cities inspired the creation of 1587 Prime. “Travis and I have become frequent visitors of Noble 33 restaurants in other cities, so it only made sense to bring something special to our own community in Kansas City,” Mahomes said in a press release last year when the project was first announced.

A Prime Location and Experience

1587 Prime will occupy a sprawling 10,000-square-foot space across two floors within the Loews Kansas City Hotel, a sleek and modern venue that opened in 2020. The space was originally designed for an independent high-end restaurant concept, but the timing of the pandemic delayed its occupancy. Now, 1587 Prime will join the hotel’s existing dining options, including Bar Stillwell, The Stillwell Restaurant, Horsefeather Social, and Red Wheat Baking Co., adding a new layer of culinary prestige to the property.

While the full menu for 1587 Prime has yet to be revealed, a press release teased a “cutting-edge chef’s kitchen” and an “impressive meat display,” hinting at a focus on high-quality steaks and innovative culinary techniques. The restaurant’s design will also incorporate “hyper-subtle nods” to
