Taylor Swift Congratulates Sabrina Carpenter After “The Muppet Show” Beats Her “Eras Tour” for the Emmy, Showing Support for Her Fellow Pop Star Despite the Disappointing Loss
Taylor Swift Congratulates Sabrina Carpenter After “The Muppet Show” Emmy Victory Over “The Eras Tour”
Taylor Swift is showing that there are no hard feelings after Sabrina Carpenter walked away with the Emmy that Swift had hoped to take home for Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Final Show.
The two pop superstars found themselves competing in the same Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded) category, putting their projects head-to-head during the highly anticipated awards ceremony.
Ultimately, the award went to The Muppet Show, giving Carpenter a major career milestone while Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour special missed out on the prize.
Rather than allowing the loss to overshadow the evening, Swift reportedly congratulated Carpenter on the achievement and celebrated the young singer’s success.
The moment highlights the close relationship between the two artists, who have publicly supported each other throughout their rapidly rising careers.
For Carpenter, the victory represents another major accomplishment following the enormous success of her music career. For Swift, meanwhile, the Emmy loss does little to diminish the unprecedented impact of The Eras Tour, which became one of the biggest concert tours in music history.
The competition may have placed their projects against each other for one night, but Swift’s reaction showed that the awards-season rivalry did not stop her from celebrating Carpenter.
With Carpenter adding another major award to her résumé and Swift continuing her pursuit of entertainment’s biggest honors, the night ultimately became a memorable moment for both pop stars.
