Taylor Swift was reportedly spotted near the venue of Washington, D.C.’s historic Freedom 250 Grand Prix on Sunday, shortly after the Kansas City Chiefs suffered a narrow preseason defeat to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The sighting comes as attention turns from the NFL preseason to the high-profile IndyCar event, which transformed parts of Washington, D.C., into a temporary street circuit for the celebration of America’s 250th anniversary. President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump were among the prominent figures attending the event and were seen greeting IndyCar drivers ahead of the race. ()
Swift’s reported appearance near the Grand Prix venue has quickly drawn attention from fans, particularly following Saturday night’s Chiefs-Buccaneers preseason matchup in Tampa. Kansas City fell 16–15 to Tampa Bay in a closely fought game after the Buccaneers rallied in the second half.
The Chiefs entered the matchup looking to build momentum during the preseason, but Tampa Bay ultimately secured the victory with a late comeback. The result left Kansas City 0–2 in the preseason.
Meanwhile, Washington was preparing for an entirely different sporting spectacle. The Freedom 250 featured a 1.7-mile street course winding around major landmarks, with drivers completing 147 laps for a total of 250 miles.
